DIRECT INVESTMENTS
SOKOTRA Capital identifies, analyses and invests in exciting investment opportunities within its focus sectors and geographies.
SOKOTRA Capital has established key relationships in frontier markets and other opportunistic areas to assist in its origination efforts, including lawyers, auditors, consultants and its own network of contacts within these markets.
Although the majority of investments considered are in frontier markets, SOKOTRA Capital retains the flexibility to explore investments in other markets on an opportunistic basis. Such opportunistic investments are made with a view of expanding the operations of such assets into frontier markets.
NEW VENTURES
SOKOTRA Capital intends to establish New Ventures or Greenfield projects in its target markets. These New Ventures and Greenfield projects will allow SOKOTRA Capital to leverage upon and monetize its contacts and relationships in frontier markets, in conjunction with highly reputable and experienced operators in the focus sectors.
CORPORATE ADVISORY
On a selective basis, and when and if solicited, SOKOTRA Capital may assist certain companies and/or partners with whom SOKOTRA Capital is looking to invest in, alone or jointly with them on matters related to Corporate Advisory. These limited consultancy assignments, include, but are not limited to:
- Corporate strategy
- Business plan review and development
- Match-making services
- Strategic advisory
- Setting up of joint ventures
- Investments in greenfield projects
